Two Gram Panchayats of Kapurthala – Village Nurpur Lubana and Village Sanghojala both from Dhilwan Block of district, are selected for National Level Awards by union ministry for rural development.
Village Sanghojala Gram Panchyat Dhilwan Block, Kapurthala District has been selected by The Rural Development And Panchayats Department for Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award.
Village Nurpur Lubana Gram Panchayat Dhilwan Block, Kapurthala District has been selected in the Child Friendly Award category.
The Punjab Minister for Rural Development & Panchayats Mr. Tript Rajinder Bajwa congratulated the all award winning panchayats.
Deputy Commissioner Ms. Deepti Uppal congratulates panchayats and villagers. She urges other panchayats to take inspiration from the success story of villages.
Panchayat would be given about Rs 10 lakhs award money.
